Neurospace: Affirming Psychiatry & Counseling is a new private practice that leverages modern technology and gold-standard psychometric tests in order to conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations right from the comfort of your home, office, or other private space. Neurospace is owned by Aslynn Romano, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over ten years of experience. Aslynn is late-diagnosed as Autistic, believes in self-identification, and is strict to the DSM-V-TR criteria when evaluating for autism spectrum disorder. We aspire to be neuro-affirming, but recognize the limitations of diagnostics within the pathology model. We aim to push the paradigm of psychiatry into the future without leaving behind the scientific rigor and evidence that drives Aslynn’s diagnostic process.
What Do We Do?
Neurospace is a virtual private practice offering affirming psychiatry and counseling services. We offer 1:1 personal consultations with Aslynn, an Autistic psychiatric nurse practitioner. She provides diagnostic evaluations in New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Diagnostic services are limited to this area due to licensure restrictions. Aslynn also offers non-clinical consultation for when you just want to talk to someone who understands what it means to be Autistic, Neurodivergent, or just sort of exploring what Neurodiversity truly means.
